What is Auracast?

Auracast is the new standard for wireless audio transmission based on Bluetooth Low Energy (LE Audio). In contrast to classic Bluetooth, where each receiving device has to be paired individually, Auracast transmits an audio stream simultaneously to any number of compatible devices – without any pairing process. This makes Auracast particularly attractive for use at events, guided tours and multilingual events.

Advantages of Auracast for events and functions

Unlimited number of recipients: A – transmitter, e.g. a – microphone or audio interface, transmits audio to any number of listeners with compatible devices (smartphones, headphones, hearing aids).
Low latency: Thanks to LE Audio and optimized codec (e.g. Opus), speech and music transmissions are transmitted almost without delay and synchronously – is ideal for live events and simultaneous interpreting.
No pairing necessary: Participants simply select the desired audio channel at the touch of a button, QR code or app from – quickly, intuitively and without any technical hurdles.

What are hybrid events?

Hybrid events are the intersection of face-to-face events and digital events. We connect rooms, video conferences and streaming participants worldwide. You experience the event as one event. Hybrid events can range from small-scale events to large-scale events with several thousand participants worldwide. Hybrid events leave nothing to be desired, all combination possibilities are conceivable.

Video conferencing for hybrid events

We can integrate all the well-known video conferencing portals into our hybrid events. These include Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams and many others. What technology do I need for interpreters?

There are different forms of interpreting. These differ depending on the conference, event format and use case. The number of participants, the languages and the available budget must be taken into account. We will be happy to advise you and plan the most suitable system for you.

You can choose between two basic types of interpreting equipment – according to your needs: wireless interpreting equipment such as infrared equipment and radio equipment with interpreter booth for groups from about 50 up to several thousand people or even for small delegations within a larger conference primarily with lecture character. The participants receive a small receiver with headphonesto hear their speech. Speech contributions are only made via microphones on stage or wireless microphones in the hall that can be passed around.

Discussion and interpreter systems with interpreter booths are ideal for discussion-intensive meetings, e.g. at the "round table". Here, each participant can directly at the place via a microphone station to have their say. At the same time, one or two participants can connect their headphones to the microphone unit to hear their individual translation. The prerequisite, however, is that the participants are seated at tables and that 1 – 2 participants are allocated a microphone unit for each.

The radio interpreter system

In addition to our classic infrared interpreting systems, our wireless radio interpreting systems offer an optimal alternative for providing several hundred participants with interpreted sound.

The advantages over infrared technology are obvious: faster installation, more discreet appearance, reliable transmission and flexible use.

The details in detail: The installation of a single transmitter at the sound control room eliminates the sometimes very complex installation (especially at large events) of infrared emitters throughout the room or in the trusses. This also makes the entire setup more visually appealing, as there are no infrared emitters (possibly on a stand) to obscure the view of the stage and audience. As hand-held microphones and neckband microphones are also available for this system, it can be used flexibly both in the conference room and with the same receivers for factory tours and city tours.

The infrared interpreter system

Our wireless infrared interpreting systems, along with our radio interpreting systems, offer probably the most common system solution for multilingual meetings. Here, several hundred participants can use handy infrared receivers to listen to a translation of their choice. Music transmissions in stereo up to the best hi-fi quality are also possible here with this digital system.

Up to 32 voice channels are available, depending on the manufacturer. The batteries in the receivers you see on this page ensure operation for three to four conference days before they have to go back to the charging station.

PTZ cameras

PTZ cameras (pan-tilt-zoom cameras, often called DOME cameras) automatically focus on participants when they speak. These cameras are particularly suitable for hybrid events, video conferences or live online events. If required, it is also possible to control the cameras remotely. In combination with conference systems and desktop microphone units, a fully automated conference room can be easily set up. All image and sound signals can be streamed to participants.
