ISE 2024 – Part1: Sustainability and video solutions

Green AV and energy-efficient displays
Lip service becomes products. Green AV is no longer just a goal. Many manufacturers now offer concrete products with to be taken seriously potential savings in power consumption, material selection and operating time.
At the joint Sharp / NEC stand, we will learn how Energy
Saving is implemented. Depending on the model, the LED modules consume 40 to 60 % (!)
less power. The unwanted heat generated by the LED is considerably
reduced.
We are delighted with this: NEC LED-FC007i – excellent contrasts, easy installation, significant reduction in energy consumption (-40%), quick and uncomplicated installation.
In our view, a true innovation for the future and ideal for conference rooms, museums and showrooms.
Then we are introduced to the Sharp ePaper, where the "screen" can hold the image without an additional power supply until a new image is loaded.
The 13" and 25" ePaper displays guarantee unrestricted readability even in the brightest environments and display static digital images in low-reflection, paper-like quality.
Sustainable trade fair stand: Sony
We have asked. For all imitators:
- All materials used on the stand are 100 % recyclable.
- The wooden elements come from certified sustainable forestry.
- All paints and prints are water-based and contain no harmful substances or volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
- Local suppliers were selected for production and construction.
- The transport chain has been optimized to reduce the ecological footprint.
Sony also uses new and recyclable materials for its products. On a small and large scale.
"Road to Zero" is the name of Sony's environmental plan. Sony also relies on highly efficient LED chips for its displays and saves a lot of electricity, but also manages without ventilation.
Crystal LEDs are our highlight at Sony. Video walls up to super-large format are possible here, with a deep, rich black tone and high contrasts that are almost indescribable. The LED technology is super-fine and the display looks extremely vivid.
CAM tracking from Avonic
Avonic has been in our focus since the last ISE. Avonic offers modern and good solutions for PTZ cameras, both in terms of hardware and software.
The latest PTZ cameras from Avonic react to the movements of the person speaking and rotate with them when they move on stage, for example. This is intelligent tracking.
The CM93 is the new PTZ camera from Avonic that delivers 4K output at 60 frames per second. The CM93 has a 50x zoom in Full HD and a 30x zoom in 4K.
Avonic's live tracking solution automatically switches between overview shots and close-ups.
Curved LED modules
Curved LED walls are becoming increasingly easy to realize. The modules and frames are becoming more flexible and easier to assemble and install.
Curved LED modules are in vogue. Organic figures instead of simple rectangular and rather two-dimensional looking screens with the modules – almost every supplier of LED modules has great suggestions for implementation here.
We were particularly impressed by the supplier Aluvision from Belgium. This is probably a pleasant team that takes sustainability, employee satisfaction and performance very seriously.
Sennheiser with the surprise of the evening
What do Sennheiser and Cupra have in common here on the stand? We are curious. Sennheiser is joining Automotive and is responsible for the audio software and audio tuning in the Cupra.
The manufacturer Seat Cupra is based in Spain and the vehicle is produced in Barcelona, the venue of the ISE.
You can find out more about the audio and conference technology at ISE 2024 in the Part 2 of our trade fair visit.
ISE – Integreted Systems Europe is the trade fair for all conference enthusiasts and professionals from the so-called system integration industry. Everyone who installs, rents and sells audio and video, IT and network technology will find the latest trends and everyone of distinction here.
