Hard of hearing loop
The hearing loop (also called induction loop) is – similar to a neckband – a cable/loop that is worn around the neck. This enables people with hearing aids or cochlear implants to receive speech and other audio signals directly.
For this purpose, the hearing loop is connected to a small receiver, e.g. a radio or infrared receiver. The loop has the same plug as standard headphones.
The signals from the receiver are induced into the hearing aids of the hearing-impaired person. This allows them to receive an acoustic hearing aid, for example, or to hear the interpreted speech via conference receivers.
