IT security and data protection at PCS
Data protection for videoconferencing: with PCS, your data is safe. This applies to Video conferencing, Hybrid events, Digital conferences, Remote Interpreting, Conference streaming and all the digital services we offer.
Access to conferences is password protected, all data traffic is encrypted, and no data is passed on to third parties.
Data traffic is routed via our own web servers located in Germany or via servers located in the EU, depending on your requirements/guidelines. So you can be sure that no data is stored on servers outside the EU, European or even German data protection law applies depending on your requirements.

Digital conferences at PCS are DSGVO-compliant
All digital services offered by PCS are compliant with the GDPR. Data is processed and stored exclusively on servers in the EU or in Deutschalnd, depending on your preferences.
Operating online services on a server within the EU is the basis for data privacy-compliant communication. This is indispensable since the ECJ declared the Privacy Shield agreement invalid in September 2020.
Highest security for your data
Server location Germany, Zoom self-hosted
Our PCS web servers for video conferencing are located in Wuppertal, Germany. We run the Zoom application ourselves on our web servers, independently of the servers of the Zoom company. The Zoom company only provides us with the Zoom video conferencing software and has no way of accessing your data from outside. It is important to distinguish between the Zoom software and the service of providing the software on servers.
German data protection law
Our server locations are in Germany and therefore fall under German data protection law; they are DSGVO-compliant. If you have booked the use of our German server with us, your data will not be transferred to servers outside Germany. There is only data exchange between your participants and our servers.
Highest encryption
All data (video, audio, documents, text messages) transmitted during a video conference are encrypted. The transmission is end-to-end encrypted with the currently most secure 256 bit encryption algorithm (AES-256 GCM), it is not possible for third parties to access your data.
Password protection and entry control
Data protection during video conferences is particularly important. That is why our video conferences are always password-protected. If required, access to the conference can also be controlled via a waiting room system. Participants can then only enter the conference if an authorized moderator has given them access.

Which server should I book?
Many companies, authorities or parliaments have individual requirements for security and data protection. To meet these needs, we recommend booking our PCS server. Just talk to our project planners in advance, we will be happy to create your individual configuration.

High data protection: Our service is, if you do not book the special server hosting on our own servers, then at least operated on servers exclusively in countries of the EU. DSGVO compliant and secure.
Server location Germany
Very high data protection: If you book our own servers for the video conference, our service is operated exclusively in Germany. DSGVO compliant, German data protection law, data is only stored in Germany. The server administration is done by PCS IT-Service.
