Beyerdynamic UNITE – digital wireless communication system

Beyerdynamic has introduced the new UNITE communication system at the Amsterdam ISE 2018 exhibition. The Beyerdynamic UNITE is a modern visitor guidance system. Via the new "Multi-Way Communication" function, it is possible to enter into a dialogue with the audience. Participants can ask questions directly via their receiver, audible to all. Up to three people can speak in parallel in the system. This means that it is now also possible to include additional tour guides or whisper interpreters in the communication.

Modern interfaces

The Beyerdynamic UNITE system has modern interfaces. These include a jack connector, a USB port and a Bluetooth interface. This makes it easy to input audio signals (music, original sound, radio plays) or to pair Bluetooth devices such as headsets with the UNITE system.

High speech intelligibility and sound quality

The audio processor in the digital UNITE automatically optimizes speech intelligibility. Thanks to the automatic level control, the speaker is always reproduced at the perfect volume. This is also the case when the speaker is speaking softly or at a greater distance from the microphone. Noise-canceling helps to keep speech intelligibility high even in difficult situations (e.g. during factory tours or at trade fairs in noisy halls).

DECT as a future-proof transmission technology

UNITE transmits in the DECT standard. The devices can be operated without additional permits and license fees. The system takes care of frequency management automatically, so the user does not have to worry about anything. With the Beyerdynamic UNITE, it is possible to transmit up to 32 groups (i.e. channels) simultaneously. The DECT standard also offers a very high range.

The UNITE system will be available in different versions and with different accessories. These include pocket transmitters, handheld transmitters, receivers with talkback function, charging cases and even induction slings.

Beyerdynamic UNITE buy – availability

The UNITE system was introduced at ISE 2018 in February of this year and is still in the final testing phase. As soon as the system is available, we will report here again.
