Company history - Milestones and developments at PCS Professional Conference Systems GmbH
A lot has happened since we were founded in 1995. – started out with interpreting technology and has developed into a leading full-service provider for conference and event technology and the installation of modern media technology.
Today we look back with gratitude on 30 years of PCS, share some of the formative stages of our history – and at the same time look ahead: open to new technologies, sustainable solutions and successful projects that we would like to shape together with you.
PCS turns 30

PCS is celebrating 30 years of successful development as a full-service provider for conference and event technology. Since our foundation in 1995, we have established ourselves from a provider of interpretation technology to a comprehensive partner for the planning, equipping and installation of AV media technology as well as the organization and support of major national and international events. With offices in Berlin, Munich and Düsseldorf, we support our customers with technical expertise, innovative solutions and sustainable service throughout the DACH region and beyond.
We want to continue to grow together with you in the future, always open to new ideas and technologies to make events even more lively, sustainable and successful – looks forward to continuing on this path as partners.
Merger of the two GmbHs
On May 30, 2025, we merged PCS Vertriebs- und Service GmbH with PCS Professional Conference Systems GmbH. Since then, we have been united under the name PCS Professional Conference Systems GmbH at our locations in Berlin, Munich and Düsseldorf. We now offer our entire range of services from a single source.
Increased expansion of installation to the Berlin area
We are strengthening our installation team in Berlin and expanding our local business area. The close cooperation with our customers creates many synergies that make exciting projects possible. Our focus is clearly on installation, sales, maintenance and service in the field of AV media technology.
PCS becomes CRA partner (Conference Rental Alliance) of Televic
PCS is now a member of the Televic Rental Alliance –, a strong partnership that gives us access to an international network of experts and state-of-the-art conference technology. This cooperation enables us to offer our customers even more flexible solutions and a first-class service. We are very excited about this opportunity to further expand our offering together with experienced industry partners.
AI interpreting and speech-to-text
We now offer modern artificial intelligence solutions in the field of simultaneous interpreting and live subtitling. We use these technologies as a supplement or alternative to human interpreting, as required, to offer our clients flexible and innovative options for their events.

Monika van den Boogaard was our first permanent employee in 1999. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for remaining loyal to us for so long. We would also like to thank all the other employees, some of whom have supported us for many, many years, some of whom have completed their training with us and stayed with us, and some of whom are brand new to our team. Without you, we would not be what we are today!
Strong focus on full-service provider for events
Over the years, PCS has increasingly developed into a full-service provider for event technology. We no longer just provide interpreting technology, but now plan and implement major events, conferences and meetings throughout Germany. As a technical service provider, we support ministries, offices of large companies and many other customers.
Relocation of the Berlin branch
Our Berlin branch has moved from Zossener Strasse to beautiful new premises on Köpenicker Strasse in Kreuzberg. There we have significantly more space for storage and, in particular, for the new interpreting studios as well as expanded office space.
We operate interpreting hubs throughout Germany

We operate professional service centers in all our stores. Interpreting hubswhich are specially equipped for Remote Simultaneous Interpreting (RSI).
These studios experienced their heyday during the pandemic, when video conferences and hybrid events were technically supported and simultaneously interpreted on an almost daily basis. Today, RSI is an established standard – and we have made a decisive contribution to this with the development of suitable systems and infrastructures as well as our work in DIN and ISO committees.
New managing directors Gunnar Hermenau and Thorsten Geißler
Gunnar Hermenau and Thorsten Geißler are the new Managing Directors at PCS and will support Dirk Neumann and Jörg Peschka with immediate effect. The two founders will remain partners and managing directors, but want to step back more.
Certification as Sustainable Partner "High Performer”
What we have been practicing for a long time is now official: we are certified as a Sustainable Partner Berlin. This shows that sustainability is firmly anchored in our services, our technology and in our company.
DECT radio transmission
In 2020, we invested heavily in the new DECT transmission technology UNITE, which was developed by Beyerdynamic. The system has since been taken over and further developed by Televic – and is now considered the most modern and longest-range transmission system for conference receivers on the market.
We are specialist dealers of well-known manufacturers

In addition to installation and rental, the Sale of AV media technology has become another strong pillar of PCS. We are now specialist dealers and partners of numerous well-known manufacturers in the audio and video technology – sectors, including Bosch, Sennheiser, Televic, Audipack, Extron, QSC, Sharp/NEC, i3-Technologies and, of course, Shure, as you can see in the picture.
Certification as a certified event service provider DPVT
In 2018, we were certified as an event service provider according to DPVT. This certificate confirms that we meet the highest standards in quality management and industry-specific norms. The certification stands for our professionalization, continuous improvements and a structured, risk-minimized way of working in the event sector.
Opening of the Munich branch
In 2013, we opened our branch in Munich under the management of Sebastian Gegusch. This strategically important location in a dynamic city offers us an excellent basis for being even closer to our customers in southern Germany and responding flexibly to their wishes.
Large media technology installation in the Fritz Thyssen Foundation
In 2011, as PCS Vertriebs- und Service GmbH, we carried out one of our first major projects in the field of AV media technology installation, as reported by the trade magazine Professional System: We took on the complete integration and installation of modern media and conference technology at the new headquarters of the Fritz Thyssen Foundation in Cologne. The focus was on our network-based overall solution – with fiber optic networking, digital signal distribution and the equipment of several event and conference rooms with innovative control and presentation systems. With this milestone, we have shown that we can reliably implement sophisticated complete solutions even under complex structural and architectural conditions.
Foundation of PCS der Vertriebs- und Service GmbH
At the end of 2006, we founded our sister company, PCS Vertriebs- und Service GmbH, in Düsseldorf under the direction of Dirk Neumann. Here we take care of the installation, sale, maintenance and planning of AV media technology and conference technology. Both companies exist side by side and complement each other with their services and offers.
2006 World Cup final draw
In December 2005, we were responsible for the simultaneous interpreting technology at the final draw for the 2006 World Cup in Leipzig. With 4,000 radio receivers for five languages, we set the standard at the time – - a scale never before seen in radio technology for simultaneous interpretation.
Opening of the Heilbronn branch
In order to better serve our growing clientele in southern Germany, the idea of a branch in the south became more and more concrete. With Beyerdynamic as a reliable partner and Shure just around the corner, our choice quickly fell on Heilbronn. In 2005, we started with Carsten Adam, who set up and managed the branch. Shown here together with Sebastian Gegusch, who now manages the Munich branch of PCS.
Radio technology for interpretation receivers
With the new Beyerdynamic TTS 30 wireless technology system, wireless technology was introduced as a competitor to infrared transmission. At the time, we encouraged Beyerdynamic to develop stationary transmitters for the wireless receivers – - a milestone for voice transmission at conferences.
Opening of the Berlin branch

When the government moved from Bonn to Berlin in 1999, it quickly became clear to us that the caravan was moving inexorably to the capital. In addition to ministries, NGOs and many companies with representative offices in Berlin are also joining – - the event scene in Berlin is changing noticeably. That's why we decided to open a Berlin branch. Jörg Peschka and our technician Lars Müller moved to Berlin and set up the location.
Relocation Reisholzer Werftstraße

After the warehouse and office space in Lindenstraße was bursting at the seams, we moved to Reisholzer Werftstraße in the south of Düsseldorf. There we found more space for our growth with a large hall and offices on two floors. Over 20 years later, the building was modernized and expanded several times – and we are still here today.
Foundation of PCS Professional Conference Systems GmbH
On September 28, 1995, the time had come: Dirk Neumann and Jörg Peschka founded PCS Professional Conference Systems GmbH. With a great deal of motivation and clear goals, their joint journey began.
