Interpreter Barcamp Munich
Published: 16.10.2016
A great team of interpreters organizes an exciting conference format with workshops, discussions, sessions and timely exchanges. By interpreters for interpreters. PCS supports the event and is on site itself.
What is a barcamp again?
The best thing about classic conferences are usually the breaks. The barcamp for active conference interpreters makes this a concept: There are no pure listeners, but everyone is an active participant (or "part-giver”). Each participant can propose a "Session” in the form of a workshop, lecture or discussion session. The program is therefore not determined in advance in a small circle but is created directly on site! The topics covered can be in any area of conference interpreting: Business, team organization, technical aspects and everything in between. Once the session planning is in place, we start: the groups divide into the available rooms and everyone joins in.
Who is actually behind it?
The organizing team includes: Leonie Wagener (Cologne), Sonja Willner (Karlsruhe), Sandra Haldimann (Mannheim), Claudia Mohr (Karlsruhe), Benjamin Barclay (Cologne), Matthias Haldimann (Mannheim), Alexander Gansmeier (Munich) and Alexander Drechsel (Brussels).
