ISE 2024 – Part 2: Innovations in audio and conference technology

Our cover picture for ISE 2024 with many visitors from all over the world celebrating at the Televic stand.

Published: 03.02.2024

Audipack

Among other things, Audipack has a new and significantly more spacious interpreting booth at its stand (Silent 9650) with internal dimensions of 2 meters. In addition to the space available, the quality of the sound-absorbing surface of the table has been improved and an even finer-pored white foam has been used, which offers better additional sound insulation, especially in the low frequencies, and is also more pleasant and quieter to the eye than its predecessor.

Silent 9650 XL interpreting booth, compatible with ISO 4043/2016, DIN 75200, FMVSS 302 standard, internal dimensions approx. 2065 mm x 2065 mm x 2030 mm (wxlxh), including ventilation and dimmable LED light

Audipack presented slim stands for large displays and many new accessories; a simple, lightweight lectern with a display as the front is interesting for events and rental. The Installaionsprofix were enthusiastic about a housing with a monitor with imitation leather that can be swiveled out of the ceiling.

Bosch

Anyone who visited the News The news that Bosch was planning to sell its – security technology division, which also includes conference technology and public address systems, was reassured at the trade fair stand. Investments and developments in the product portfolio continue unabated and the roadmap for new products remains unchanged.

Our team is presented with the innovations from the Dicentis discussion system at the trade fair stand.

Here, the PCS team is introduced to the new Bosch license models for the use and functionality of the conference systems. At the urging of the industry, there are now simplified license models and, for basic discussion systems, free licenses for some basic functions of the systems. This makes sales and installation easier and cheaper for the end customer.

Shure

Shure has launched a new 2-channel microphone base station which, in addition to charging stations for handheld and bodypack transmitters, also has an integrated DSP and can be operated via a browser.

The base station (without microphones and other accessories) comes in at an unbeatable €1,300 RRP, which will also be very interesting for many schools and educational establishments. "All in one, job done" is the solution: All-in-One, Job Done: Wireless audio made easy with MXW neXt 2 – Shure Germany.

The Microflex Wireless neXt 2 is a wireless 2-channel microphone system

Microflex Wireless neXt 2 is a wireless 2-channel microphone system with a combination of access point transceiver, charging station and IntelliMix DSP.

  • Wireless 2-channel all-in-one audio solution for hybrid classrooms, training rooms and lecture halls
  • Table-top transceiver with integrated charging station
  • IntelliMix DSP with automix technology, echo cancellation and noise reduction
  • Send microphone and program audio to remote participants and/or room speakers via analog connections, Dante or USB-C.

Automatic frequency management eliminates the need for complicated configuration. Unlike most wireless microphone systems, MXW neXt 2 automatically finds free channels in the 1.9 GHz DECT band and switches between channels to avoid interference without interrupting the audio signal.

Shure offers us new, practical solutions wherever technology has to function reliably without the use of trained technicians.

We are sitting at the Shure stand and are being fed. Thank you very much.

Many thanks to Shure as well as Tim Lubrant and Karl-Heinz Schellenberger for your great products, your hospitality – and that we were able to recharge our batteries with you.

Televic

Televic is launching a new control center for its D-Cerno wired discussion system, which has a 19-inch format. This makes it easier to install in standard cabinets or in a mobile rack. This will make our work easier.

Televic's stand personnel are wearing smart matching sneakers in the company's colors.

OK, we were briefly distracted by the fancy sneakers, but only very briefly.

Virtual meeting platforms

When it comes to meeting platforms, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet continue to assert themselves. The latter only seem to be less widespread in Germany, here at ISE they are among the market leaders. In addition to these three top dogs, there was a wide range of hardware on display to make working and using them easier.

Lots of new software and hardware to make virtual meetings easier and better. We particularly like the "Join any Meeting" call.

Q-SYS

Some trade fair visitors don't understand the rush at Q-SYS. What's so exciting here? It's all behind the scenes at Q-SYS.

Q-SYS controls audio, video and IT infrastructure. They took off because they were able to process all industry standards like no other. Q-SYS is now on its way to becoming a standard itself.

Anyone who wants to professionally integrate different technologies and have them communicate with each other knows Q-SYS.

Fohhn

Sometimes there are good reasons not to use the traditional black of the speakers. Fohhn now offers more than 4000 different colors. Accessories such as mounting brackets can also be manufactured in the appropriate color.

The manufacturer Fohhn shows many colorful speakers at the booth.

Colors from the RAL classic and NCS color palettes are generally possible and even Pantone for all wooden enclosures. We know that this is the favorite requirement for corporate design.

Goodbye and thank you

We say goodbye to ISE. Even bigger, even more colorful, even louder and fuller. We think the manufacturers can be very satisfied with the number of visitors. And the new 3-year contract has already been signed, so ISE will remain in Barcelona.

So make a note of the date for next year's trade fair: February 04 – - 07 2025. See you there, guaranteed.

The televic company throws a party with good beer and snacks, the crowd is huge.
A view over the many visitors at the Televic stand party at ISE 2024.

Televic quickly turned ISE 2024 into the party of the century and so there was another great, unexpected product launch: the Belgian beer "St. Bernardus" from the West Flanders town of Poeringe. Many thanks to Televic, many thanks to all exhibitors, visitors and organizers. See you again next year.
