Video Remote Interpreting (VRI)
video transmission, both the image and the sound of the event are transmitted to the interpreters. The interpreters are not in the same room as the presenters and participants.
VRI is particularly suitable when Sign language interpreter (i.e., a sign language service) will be offered to enable inclusion of individuals with any hearing impairment.
With VRI, a distinction is made between singlescreen VRI and multiscreen VRI. Singlescreen VRI only provides a view of the speakers. Multiscreen VRI provides a view of both the speakers and the participants (e.g. for queries).
