DIN EN ISO 20109 – Requirements for technical equipment for simultaneous interpreting
ISO 20109 was published in December 2016. This international standard specifies the requirements for the equipment used for simultaneous interpretation. It also concerns the components of the conference or voice amplification system, which have a direct influence on the system for simultaneous interpretation. In connection with the interpreting booth standards ISO 2603 and ISO 4043 lay the new ISO 20108 and ISO 20109 establish the essential requirements for both the equipment needed in the booths and the quality and transmission of sound and images to the interpreters so that they can work professionally.
