Microphone system
A microphone system can consist of individual microphones that can be controlled or managed via a mixing console. It can also be a combination of a microphone chain with a control center and individual microphones (wired or wireless).
There are different ways of using microphone equipment:
- A podium system consists of several microphones, which are adapted to the specifics of a podium.
- A speaker's microphone, in turn, must have different characteristics than a podium microphone.
- A hall microphone is used for discussion or for interjections from the auditorium.
- A wireless microphone system can be set up and taken down quickly without much wiring.
The microphones or microphone heads are adapted according to the application. Furthermore, there are special types such as directional microphones, boundary microphones, lavalier microphones and many more.
