Review of Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2023
Published: 26.02.2023
This year's ISE showed a new focus on conferences, hybrid and digital work for many manufacturers. Those who made it to the trade show once again found themselves in a technical wonderland and could not get out of their amazement for days. Of course, all fans of displays and video walls also got their money's worth again. #tldr: Even denser, even thinner, even brighter ? who is surprised?
We start with Cabolo. They show us a trend that we will encounter again and again in the coming days: Specialists in software and algorithms show innovative, high-quality and beautiful hardware.
Cabolo is an innovative company based in Rome. They specialize in speech-to-text transcription, and their main goal is to simplify the transcription, recording, and translation of meetings ? for example, directly from a conferencing system such as Bosch's. ? https://www.cabolo.com/
Zoom is intensifying its cooperation with partner companies such as Logitech and Poly and now also offers these bundles as a service. (i.e. for rent). Okay, and how high are these rental prices? We don't know yet. We'll ask.
Also interesting: Zoom stays on the ball when it comes to the modern, flexible workplace. Workspace reservation, workspace booking, digital signage. This is where Zoom makes its mark:

Webex by Cisco develops and produces its own hardware. This is of particular interest to smaller meeting rooms: Cisco's Room Bar is advertised as "Room Bar is an all-in-one video conferencing bar that offers everything – from native, laptop-free video collaboration to seamless BYOD experiences via USB passthrough. Transform your meetings with a room device that includes a 4K camera, powerful codec, built-in microphones, stereo speakers, a range of connectivity options, and supports the displays of your choice."
If you want to understand trends in collaborative working, you should check the Webex website every now and then, because it may showcase developments that are otherwise easily overlooked.

Bosch presents top performance and modular design at the highest level. The DICENTIS Flush modules are now also made to measure and can be painted in various wood, marble, metal or RAL colors. Beautiful! We think it's wonderful that the new series will probably be called "Bosch DICENTIS Custom color hydro dip flush". Probably we call them then in everyday life "Dicentis Custom Module" – we will see – and look forward to the first installations of these new, super high-quality microphone units. Noble or fancy – just as the customers want it.
Shure. When our feet don't want to anymore, when we are tired, we visit the Shure booth. It's like coming home.
The themes at Shure this year are primarily:
Stem Ecosystem
"Discover the Stem Ecosystem, which gives you the freedom to effortlessly self-design, manage and scale high-quality audio solutions in your space."
https://www.shure.com/de-DE/konferenzen-meetings/loesungen/stem-ecosystem
Microflex Ecosystem
"Boundless flexibility for first-class collaboration in the most demanding spaces."

It is well known that we rave about both solutions and Shure: Very high quality, very easy to combine and integrate, reliable.... As always, many thanks to Shure for your performance and hospitality.
Oh, I see: Shure is also increasingly focusing on collaboration and names the following official strategic partnerships, among others: Microsoft, Zoom, Crestron, Cicso, Yealink, Audinate, Barco.
Mircosoft Teams
Increasingly in use at our company: With the new versions of Microsoft Teams, video conferences can be simultaneously interpreted live. We find that this works at a similarly high level to Zoom.
It will be exciting when soon ChatGPT integrated into teams. The bot is intended to support meetings as a virtual meeting assistant. That's helpful for us, too. We look forward to being able to test it soon.
i3-Technologies
We have come to know i3 as specialists in learning environments. We use the displays, whiteboards and digital flipcharts primarily for installation projects at universities. Why? i3 combines a good price-performance ratio with high durability. We also increasingly value the products in meeting rooms. i3 is focusing on the new Ultra-Wide 21:9 format, which we expect to become more common in the future. The new i3 Touch Ultra has a screen diagonal of 105″ (that's 267 cm), the resolution is then 5K.
The i3Toch X-ONE is also new. This offers a dimming mode, a blue light filter and has a special anti-glare coating to significantly reduce eye fatigue. So perfect for all long sessions and also certified by TÜV Rheinland. Very good!
i3-Technologies promotes the new i3Touch E-One as budget-friendly. Another highlight: the new i3Sixty 2 digital flipchart ? which really belongs in every meeting room. It's worth it, because it makes every meeting more effective and professional. It really does, believe us.
All novelties – except for the Ultra – manage with only one USB-C port, which means the devices can transfer picture, audio, touch and camera with only one cable.

Canon is now also increasingly involved in the field of video conferencing. We know the high-quality PTZ camera CANON CR-N300. What caught our eye is the free software for it, which can control up to 20 Canon PTZ cameras ? yes, only Canon cameras. New for us is the audio tracking of the software.

Televic
We had already heard about the big surprise elsewhere reports. Televic is taking over the UNITE communication system from Beyerdynamic and we are extremely pleased about this, because we were and are enthusiastic about the product. The product name at Televic is then called Re-Unite, which we also find appealing.
Whew!
Almost done. We are always glad that LED walls are not our main business. The development is so rapid. Investing properly and wisely here is certainly not easy. We have the feeling: what's great today is already outdated a week later. In any case, it's incredible what quality, brightness and density the walls offer. Of course, this is at the expense of power consumption, and for us, as for many, less is more, or better, much better.
Slap, slap!
And now off home. Yes, next year we'll be back, but let's not wait so long outside the gates again. It's exhausting enough. Many thanks to all involved, the colleagues at the booths and the marketing departments.
