Consultant interpreters
Consultant interpreters (also known as organizing interpreters) are interpreters who, in addition to their interpreting work, specialize in advising event organizers (for temporary events) and architects/planning offices (for permanent installations). They mainly help with the planning of events and provide practical tips.
A consultant interpreter answers the following questions, for example:
- Which language combinations are required?
- Which type of interpreting is best suited (simultaneous or consecutive)?
- How many interpreters are needed for the event?
- Which and how much Interpreting technology is required?
- At which position in the room should the Interpretation booths be set up?
- Which technical service providers/installation companies would be suitable?
