Simultaneous technology
Simultaneous technology is special conference technology that supports simultaneous interpreting.
Simultaneous interpreting itself is a type of interpreting in which interpreters translate an oral presentation into another language almost simultaneously. The interpreter listens to the speaker and translates what is being said virtually in real time. This service requires a high level of concentration and experience, as the interpreter has to listen, analyze and speak into another language at the same time.
To do this, the interpreters sit in a soundproofed simultaneous booth on site or are present remotely from a Interpreting Hub switched on (Remote Interpreting). The transmission to the participants also takes place here via simultaneous technology, e.g. quite simply via Receiver with headphones or, of course, via stream.
